As a Manager - Internal Audit, you will help the management in establishing internal audit functions and ensure an effective control environment within the organisation. You will conduct risk assessment at organisational level and devise a detailed audit plan accordingly. You will be responsible to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls, identify gaps & non-compliances, suggest business process improvement and remove inefficiencies. Also, you will be responsible for timely reporting to the management as per the audit plan.

What you'll be doing

  • Establish and lead the Internal Audit function, having the ability to independently handle the scope of Internal Audit.
  • Develop and document risk-based audit plans, objectives, scope, timing, and resource allocations.
  • Identify sources of potential engagements through a risk framework.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the audit plan and present timely updates to the management committee.
  • Audit the company’s information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
  • Assess the suitability of current internal controls, making suggestions for improvements where needed.
  • Review internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness.
  • Maintain a comprehensive system for recording all audit plans, work papers, findings, reports, and follow-up audits.
  • Audit the company’s financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy, consistency, and adequate financial reporting.
  • Review audit working papers to ensure they sufficiently document information obtained, analysis made, and support conclusions.
  • Plan and oversee audits of sales operations to assess controls, operational efficiencies, and compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensure timely review & disbursement of commissions as per defined policies.
  • Plan and review pre-audit of receipts and payments and implement system control to avoid any anomalies in the business process.
  • Conduct special audits as required by management and issue results on a timely basis.
  • Present and discuss findings with process owners.
  • Recommend revisions and/or additions to policies and procedures in order to improve operations as well as internal controls. Perform Gap Analysis to ensure business effectiveness and improvements.
  • Represent the internal audit department in the management committee meetings.
  • Assist in fraud prevention and detection programs and assist in fraud related investigations.
  • Respond to ad hoc audit related requests by the management.

Requirements

  • ACCA Member, CA/CFAP, CIA, one of these certifications is mandatory.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the field of Internal Audit & Compliance
  • Knowledge of various internal audit techniques
  • Risk management
  • Detailed understanding of key business processes
  • Understanding of real estate sector
